Hörmann (UK) Ltd, are looking to recruit a Facilities & Maintenance Operative within our busy Operations department.

The Role

  • Carry out reactive and planned maintenance and facilities based tasks
  • Carry out weekly checks to ensure business compliance
  • Report on energy consumption
  • Asset tracking
  • To be able to effectively organise, plan and report on reactive and planned routine maintenance for Hörmann (UK) Ltd
  • Maintain accurate and clear documentation for all of the above processes
  • Work hand in hand with all production, office and warehouse based departments to ensure operational efficiency
  • Proactively look for potential failings of the facilities and site
  • Continue to identify areas to improve the working environment
  • Liaise with staff and customers both internally and externally
  • Assist and cover for other members of the Facilities and Maintenance team as and when required to ensure continuity of service to both, external and internal customers
  • Continue to implement a safer working environment throughout the site
  • Work within a cycle of continuous improvement

The Candidate

  • Must have a good understanding of Microsoft Office, Word and Excel.
  • Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Be able to handle a fast paced department
  • Have the ability to think on your feet
  • Have good sound administrative skills with attention to detail
  • Work well under pressure and abide to precise time lines
  • Have a technical skill ideally electrically biased, although training will be given
  • Have a willingness to learn other trades
  • Be flexible to cope with the demands of the business' needs, wiling to work to get jobs completed outside of the normal working hours when required
  • Be wiling to help develop the facilities and maintenance process
  • Be able to work co-operatively with other members of Hörmann (UK) Ltd staff
  • Show the ability to follow precise instructions and requirements in order to accurately complete tasks
  • To complete tasks to a high standard in line with company expectations
  • Remain flexible to ensure tasks are completed on time and budget
  • Ability to fault find and problem solve
