Hörmann Loading Houses
The Integral Solution with Dock Leveller and Dock Shelter

A complete loading station
Loading houses are a complete unit consisting of dock leveller and dock shelter. Together with Hörmann thermally insulated industrial doors they are particularly recommended for the loading of temperature-sensitive goods.

Whenever there is a problem with space inside the warehouse, the building does not allow tailboard access or you want to create a dock for an existing building, the Hörmann loading house provides the perfect solution. Lorries can dock at an acute angle to the building as well as at the conventional 90° angle. We can also supply loading houses as a drive-through version without a dock leveller.

Hörmann loading houses
comprise of:

  • Pedestal with dock leveller, offering a choice of hinged or telescopic lip.
  • Wall and ceiling cladding of 80 mm thick, thermally insulated sandwich panels.
On request, the roof can be supplied with 16 mm thick translucent polycarbonate double panes.
  • Structural opening with dock shelter, inflatable dock shelter or cushion dock shelter.

The components are supplied as individual parts for on-site assembly.

Important for investors
Loading houses are placed in front of the warehouse. This means that warehouse space can be fully utilized right up to the outer walls.
Loading houses are not structural components of the building but technical building equipment which in terms of taxation laws might be classified as plant facilities.
You should, therefore, consult your tax advisor as to the possibility of a shorter depreciation period.
