A Robust Design With Reliable Hydraulics
Hörmann dock levellers with hinged lip (405 mm long as standard, up to 480 mm on request) are practice-proven articulated steel constructions with particularly strong hinges.Together with the extremely reliable, simple-to-operate hydraulics (two cylinders with single-valve technology), this system is designed to suit any loading situation.Thanks to their open construction, the hinged lip hinges do not get blocked up with wood chippings and similar debris. The platform design of the dock leveller provides for a high degree of twist, so all vehicle loading can be easily accommodated even in the case of uneven loads. In the event that a lorry departs prematurely with the platform still loaded, the automatic emergency STOP valves integrated into the lifting cylinders lock the platform instantly. All Hörmann hinged lip dock levellers come ready-cabled and equipped with a 6 m long mains lead.
The functional principle
Once the lorry has docked, the warehouse door is opened. On the press of a button (press and hold) the electro-hydraulic system raises the platform to its highest position before the hinged lip is automatically extended. The button is then released and the platform then lowers itself until the hinged lip rests on the vehicle deck. Loading and unloading can now safely begin. The dock leveller can be reparked to the home position by pressing the operate button again (press and hold) or if automatic reparking is requested, this is achieved by briefly pressing the "AUTO" button.
