Efficient loading and unloading thanks to perfect technology
Hörmann dock levellers with telescopic lip have a maximum standard reach of 500 or 1000 mm. Continuous extension of the telescopic lip allows maximum use of hte loading platform. They, therefore, play an important role in the safe and efficient transfer of goods.The robust steel construction, the fully developed hydraulics (two cylinders with twin-valve technology), simple operation and safety potential make this system well suited to any loading situation. The platform design of the dock leveller provides for a high degree of flex, so any lateral tilting of the vehicle due to uneven loading can still be easily accommodated. In the event that a lorry departs prematurely with the platform still loaded, the automatic emergency STOP valves integrated into the lifting cylinders lock the platform instantly. Hörmann telescopic lip dock levellers come ready-cabled and are equipped with a cable harness at least 6 m long to facilitate connection of the controls and hydraulics.
The functional principle
The lorry docks and the dock door is opened. The dock leveller can now be operated and the platform raised to the desired height. The telescopic lip is then extended (up to max. 1000 mm) and lowered - with millimetre accuracy - onto the vehicle deck.This is particularly important where vehicles are loaded right to the very back, thereby presenting a minimum loading surface.
On completing the loading procedure, the platform is returned to the home position by pressing the "AUTO" button.
