The Hörmann inflatable dock shelter adapts precisely to various lorry sizes. It therefore offers excellent sealing properties and for the most part prevents outdoor temperatures from reaching the interior of the building.
This dock shelter is recommended in its dock-height format specifically for cold stores, for long loading times and temperature-controlled stores. It can also be supplied as a roadway version.Benefits of the system
Once the vehicle has safely docked, the fan inflates the dock shelter around the vehicle, completely sealing off the loading area. Once loading has been completed and the fan switched off, the cushions retract into the enclosure, at the sides via internally located tension cables, at the top via counterweights. Inflation and deflation of the air cushions takes just a few seconds.
The fan blower with twofold benefit
1. A 230 V fan blower inlates the interconnected cushions. Small air openings on the underside of the top cushion and side cushions ensure constant pressure.
2. Due to the positioning of these air openings, water from the roof of the lorry is blown away at the same time. The fan blower is located within the insulated enclosure at the head of the shelter where it is protected against collision damage.

Roof and side cladding
of thermally insulated steel panels (20 mm thick) with anodized aluminium corner profiles in rounded softline look.
Flexible front stripe
2-layer elastic substrate of polyester monofilaments, PVC-coated on both sides, approx. 3 mm thick.
PVC cushions
in weather-resistant, permanently elastic and high-frequency welded PVC.
