Garage Doors Lancashire is a family-owned and run business with more than 40 years’ expertise in the trade, selling direct to the public. With a list of awards including winning the prestigious Lancashire Safe Trader Customer Feedback award three years in a row from 2013 onwards.

MD Peter Chester set the firm up after a career in the Merchant Navy and now the company is run by his daughters Julie Chester, Gail Hoyle and Beckie Delaney. A comprehensive range of doors is stocked, including steel up and over, GRP white and wood-grained styles, roller garage doors, timber up and over models, side-hinged and electric, alongside insulated sectional doors. Julie says: “First-class service is at the heart of our business. We treat all customers the way we would want to be treated. “When someone comes to our showroom we always like to think about it from their point of view. “A lot of people cannot visualise how a door will look but we pride ourselves at helping people to choose the right door for their type of property. “And as well as having more than 60 door types and styles on display in our 2,500 sq ft showroom, we have masses of images we can show people on our showroom display screen.” Matching fascias and front doors can be supplied, too, if the customer wants the house frontage to have a smart, uniform look.

Among the 26 staff at Garage Doors (Lancashire) are four fitters with more than 25 years’ service. “The fitters always talk customers through the way a door works and give maintenance tips once it is fitted,” explains Julie, who has chaired the Garage Door Trade Association. As well as offering the latest styles of doors, for customers’ peace of mind the company offers spares, servicing and repairs. Please ring for an appointment to visit the showroom.
