Automatic driveway bollards

Convenient security for your home

Automatic bollards provide effective protection for your property and offer a high level of convenience. At the touch of a button – for example, via a smartphone or hand transmitter – they retract into the ground, allowing vehicles to pass through.

The Hörmann A 114-600/800 E “Plug & Play” automatic bollard has been specially developed to meet the needs of private property owners. Thanks to its built-in foundation box, it is particularly easy to install. It prevents unauthorised vehicles from passing through, protects private parking areas and provides protection against theft.

The Plug & Play bollard in detail

The bollard is available in 600 mm and 800 mm locking height and has a diameter of 114 mm. It is made of elegant, brushed stainless steel and is equipped with an electromechanical drive. As no hydraulic oil is used, it also fulfils the strictest environmental protection requirements. In the event of a power failure, it can be lowered or raised manually. Even more convenient is the use of an optionally available emergency battery.

Optional extras include LED lighting for better visibility in the dark and a heating element that ensures reliable operation even in particularly cold regions with snow and ice.

Particularly smart: the automatic bollard A 114-600/800 E is equipped with a BiSecur radio receiver as standard. This allows the use of all Hörmann BiSecur hand transmitters and control elements, which are available as optional extras. Convenient operation via smartphone is also possible - with the optionally available Bluetooth® receiver via the Hörmann BlueSecur app or via the Hörmann Cloud Unit, which offers additional convenience functions - for example, the option of defining recurring periods in which the entrance/exit is permanently locked or open.

For larger barrier widths, the Plug & Play bollard can be combined with Hörmann design bollards.

Installation of the Plug & Play bollard

With a bit of DIY skills, you can dig the required pit yourself – using a drill, for example – but any gardener or landscaper can do the job. The bollard is then simply inserted using the integrated foundation box. All that remains is to connect the power supply and install the supplied control unit - and the automatic bollard is ready for use. The control unit can be positioned at a distance of 15 metres using the cable supplied, or 30 metres if extended by the customer, and can operate up to two bollards.
