Loading houses

Optimised solutions for loading

A loading house – also known as a loading lock, loading house or loadhouse – consists of several components: a dock leveller with pedestal side elements, a roof and side construction, a dock seal and a buffer. Together, they form a complete loading unit outside the hall, allowing every last centimetre of valuable interior space to be utilised.

Above all, however, loading houses ensure energy efficiency: whilst internal loading bays can lead to heat loss through the steel construction, the loading bay in the loading house is situated in front of the building and is therefore thermally decoupled. The hall can be sealed off with a well-insulated industrial door and is well insulated during loading breaks.

A particular advantage for existing properties: with a loading house, a loading site can be easily added to a building without the need for structural alterations – ideal for buildings that do not have a tailboard slot but where lorries with tailboards are loaded and unloaded.
